The Experience
Enjoy a truly unique tour encounter with the Australian Sea Lion and savour the incredible thrill of being tantalisingly close to one of the sea’s most playful mammals.
Set sail for a magical voyage of discovery to the pristine waters off Hopkins Island with experienced and informed crew. Be amazed as up to 40 sea lions surround the boat and frolic in their natural environment. You'll enjoy a sea lion encounter that's as close as it gets, as you snorkel and photograph this unique mammal in its natural habitat. You'll also experience the unexpected thrill of swimming with the Tuna
On your return, you'll be able to visit an exclusive Tuna farm and enjoy hand feeding the fish as well as viewing them from a special underwater platform.

You need to know:
Hopkins Island is a beautiful natural reserve and we do not have access to the beach. This helps preserve this Australian Sea Lion colony and we do not disturb their mating grounds. The water is a safe 2m in depth and all swimmers feel comfortable in the clear water with sand below. We ask that customers bring suitable clothing for sun protection and sun cream. However we ask that sun cream is not applied if swimming with the Sea Lions and Tuna. We are unsure of how sun cream affects the animals.
The Weather:
This experience does not run in extreme weather conditions, if in doubt you are advised to contact the operator the morning of your tour.
Session Length:
Two hour tour and half day tour combination.
Numbers:
You will be accompanied by other participants during this experience. Maximum numbers for this tour is 18.
