The Experience
This deep sea fishing trip off Sydney is a great day out for experienced anglers or adventurers alike wishing to tackle the big ones! You will be fishing the local seamount, Browns Mountain which is situated 22 nautical miles (45 kilometres) offshore.
Equipment used are purpose built Alvey winches loaded with 200 lbs breaking braid strength. Two people are required to operate each reel on a team basis due to the water depth (up to 500 metres) and the weight of sinkers required. You will need a winch this strong as we are hoping to pull up blue eyes cod, gemfish, hapuka, cod, ocean perch, marlin, mahi mahi and blue eye trevalla.
Using these high-tech winch and braid lines, you will be able to feel distinct bites even at this depth!
You fishing trip will take place on board the ocean going power catamaran. With a cruising speed of 15 knots the sports catamaran will transport you to and from the fishing grounds in quick time, allowing more time to fish!
The fishing trip includes all fishing gear, bait, morning tea and nibbles.
