Show someone special the unbridled thrill of piloting a real helicopter in an exciting hands-on session. Start with a briefing on flying techniques and safety before climbing into the cockpit of a dual-controlled Robinson R22 training helicopter.
The vertical take-off is astounding, and the thrills will continue as your pilot shows you how the chopper can move forward, backward, sideways or simply hover motionless in the air. Frankly, it makes planes seem run of the mill!
At the pilot's discretion, you'll have the chance to take the controls, and feel for yourself the adrenaline rush of manoeuvring these amazing aircraft.

Your time in the air can be logged as part of a license to fly if this is of interest.
Age Requirments:
You must be 12 years old or older to participate in this experience.
Weight Limit:
There is a weight limitation of a maximum of 109kgs. This is for safety and comfort reason. Participants at, above or close to this limitation should make an exquiry prior to booking to ensure the helicopter is suitable for your flight as another aircraft may be required.

We encourage spectators to sit in on the briefing to understand exactly what’s happening on the day. At most locations you are able to come out to the helicopter and take photos.
How long to plan for:
Please allow 2 hours for your total experience. Actual flight time is approximately 30 minutes.
What to wear:
Close-toed footwear is required.
Please wear comfortable casual clothes.
Summer time clothing should be light fabrics.
