Experience the excitement of flying a real helicopter above Melbourne City whilst taking in the iconic sights of the bayside and the world class sporting venues around Melbourne.
This introductory training flight you will give the opportunity to take full control of, and fly a real helicopter, with no previous flying experience required!
This is a comprehensive introductory course that turns your dream into reality, ideal for those who wish to enjoy the experience of actually flying a helicopter. This half day course includes an instructor taking you through pre and post flight briefings, pre-flight inspection of the helicopter and a 30 min flying session.
The trial introductory flight is conducted in our latest model Robinson R22 helicopter, the preferred and most widely used helicopter in the world for that purpose, and deemed by many as the sports car of the sky.
The experience begins with a 30min simulator experience. This helps to provide a general understanding of how a helicopter flies and the function of the various controls. The lesson is followed by a safety briefing and a ‘walk around’ introduction and pre flight inspection of the actual helicopter you will be flying.
Within minutes you'll be trying your hand at the helicopter controls. One by one, more helicopter controls will be introduced to you until, toward the end of the helicopter training flight, you could have full control. You'll be able to test your skills by maintaining a steady flight path, changing direction and experimenting with hover control. This helicopter introductory training flight is one of the greatest adventures you can try.
