It takes around twenty minutes to prepare the balloon for takeoff, and once the pilot has completed his pre flight checks you are invited to climb into the basket.
After a passenger briefing it is time for takeoff – you will be surprised how gentle and easy it is.
Hot air ballooning is a weather dependent activity - we can only fly safely in calm light winds normally about 3 to 10 kts.
Your safety is paramount to us and we will not fly when it is wet or too windy
Any flight may be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, this is normally done the night before when you phone for confirmation. The weather can outwit even the best meteorologists and an early morning cancellation or even a cancellation on the field is feasible, although this is very rare.
To confirm your flight we ask you to call us on the number provided upon booking, on the day before between 5 and 6 pm for a weather check and exact meeting time.
How long to plan for:
Our flight is approximately 1 hour.
Please allow between 3-4 hours for your total hot air balloon experience.
What to wear:
Wear hiking style clothing and bring a hat.
Don't forget your camera - make sure your camera batteries are charged .
Sturdy shoes are recommended, as feet can get wet in the early morning dew.
Please bring sunglasses, a cap and sunscreen.
