The Experience
After our friendly staff take your photo standing next to the helicopter (with your camera), you will then be guided to your seat and helped to get strapped in. Once you have you seat belt on, are comfortable and have you personal head set ready to put on, your pilot will then start the helicopter for a ride of your life.
Lifting off from the helipad you experienced pilot will guide you on a flight that will take you over Hoffungsthal (one of the first German settlement sites in the valley) and on to Lyndoch, the Barossa Valley’s most southern town. Your pilot will point out the wineries on the left side of the aircraft.
We then take you to the western boundary of the Barossa, flying towards Seppeltsfield and Marananga, pas Maggie Beer’s Farm shop and Penfolds Winery at Nuriootpa. Continuing north past Wold Blass Wines and over Angaston where you will see Penrice Quarry, Lindsay Park Thoroughbred Stud and Yalumba Wines.
Leaving Angaston, we will fly down the valley floor over Tanunda and South to Jacobs Creek where you will see the creek the famous wine was named after!
After seeing a few wineries and the stunning views you will then be taken back over Lyndoch to the Whispering Wall, if you have not heard of or visited this fantastic man made feature, you pilot will be more than happy to fill you in!
