The Experience
If you love the outdoors and want to try a new exciting sport then abseiling should you be on your list. This beginner's course is completely safe and a whole lot of fun! Outdoors, on real cliffs, you will cover the safety aspects before stepping out on a small beginner’s boulder. Progress in easy stages, higher and higher. Before you know it you’ll be abseiling 60 metres in one spectacular drop. All this with fantastic views across to the world famous Three Sisters, Echo point and Katoomba Falls. This half day beginners course is the ideal skills base for canyoning.

You need to know:
You need to be 12 years or older to participate in this activity. There are no fitness or medical restrictions and this experience can be enjoyed by almost everyone.
The Weather:
This adventure is possible in all weather conditions. The Blue Mountains has weather that is extremely changeable. Participants should be prepared for a weather change at any time of the day, including the possibility of snow in winter.
Session Length:
Sessions start at either 8:45am or 12:45pm. Session length is 3 hours.
Numbers:
You are likely to be accompanied by other participants for this activity. The average group size is 10 – 20 people.
Getting There:
The meeting point for this experience is Katoomba. Katoomba is two hours by road or rail from Sydney. The meeting place is 3 minutes walk downhill from Katoomba station.
Other Info:
The experience includes friendly, expert instructors, specialised abseiling equipment. Morning or afternoon tea is included. A limited number of spectators can watch on the day. Restricted access to some areas only.
