The Experience
At a massive 250 metres, Bluff Knoll is simply the ultimate weekend abseilling experience! This is where West Australian abseiling culminates, with a 250-metre multi-pitch descent! Two days in the south west of Western Australia participating in a challenging activity that is totally different to the normal abseiling experience.
Bluff Knoll overlooks the Stirling Ranges and surrounding farmland, affording magnificent views in all directions. One of the unique experiences this activity offers is gazing down on the majestic Wedge Tail Eagles as they soar under you. Once you're on the cliff face, they often fly within 10-15 metres to take a closer look. Bring your camera - you won't have many opportunities like this!
Your Abseiling Experience will follow a similar schedule to this:
Day 1: Depart Perth between 3.30pm-5.30pm (depending on group availability) for Stirling Range Retreat.
Day 2: Abseiling at Castle Rock in the Porongurups, Western Australia. We introduce all the techniques and safety skills necessary for multi-pitch descents.
Day 3: Down the north west bay of Bluff Knoll (250 metres), finishing around 3.00pm. Time to clean up, pack and return to Perth between 7.00pm-9.00pm
This is an amazing weekend experience for those who love the outdoors. All safety and specialised equipment including helmets, harnesses, ropes and abseiling hardware provided.
There is a 1:8 instructor to participant ratio ensuring you get the most out of your time away.
