The Experience
Come join us for a full day abseiling adventure perfect for both novice and experienced abseilers. We have designed the day to give you as many descents as possible. You will also have the opportunity to try some rock climbing.
The aim of this is experience is helping to develop good roping techniques, safe practices and gain a high level of personal confidence to take on all challenges. And most importantly, the day is all about having fun!
When you arrive, you will meet the friendly instructor followed followed by a venue safety briefing, an overview of all roping equipment used and fittings of personal abseiling gear.
We will demonstrate abseiling techniques followed by a brief practical session using the skills learned on level ground which helps to reinforce these techniques.
Then it’s the time you have been waiting for...its time to abseil! Our first decent will take you 9metres high on the nursery face. Besides the walk up hill to return to the top, all downhill from here. As your confidence and skills increase under the encouraging direction of the instructors, you will have the opportunity to move on to vertical, over hanging and higher rock faces.
Our aim is to help you develop the skills and more the confidence to take-on the main face almost 35 metres, by the end of the day.
If you want to challenge yourself even more try abseiling face first down the cliff!
